End of Blogcation
So I haven't blogged in over a month or so... I kind of lost interest for awhile there. Partly because my exercise motivation disappeared, partly because I think only two people read this, one of whom I am married to, and partly because I just plain had nothing interesting to say. Anyway over the last week I have gotten back into it... working on the "couch to 5K" program again, so that I can properly train myself for the Turkey Trot, which frighteningly enough, is not so far away. So I am trying to run three days a week, take my Zumba class one day, and do weight training on two of my running days. Doing OK so far... wouldn't say I LOVE running yet- in fact, I believe the word HATE left my lips on Monday. But I invested in a properly fitted pair of sneakers, so I really can't give up now. On top of that my ten year college reunion is in a month and I would rather not have people say "Hey, I saw Danielle. Yup, she's the same just a fatter version." So there you go.

Soooo Sleepy
Wednesday is my least favorite day of the week... I always seem to be extra tired by the time Wednesday rolls around. Although on a positive note, today is kind of a slow day at work, so I can sit and read or waste time on the internet and be sleepy without working too hard. Today is Zumba again- even though I am sleepy I need to go and get the steps down so I feel less silly! Plus I took yesterday off- I enjoyed an evening of Big Brother and catching up with a friend on the phone.
I am sooo looking forward to Friday. I am working only in the morning, and I get to spend the afternoon with a friend from Rochester and her husband. I don't get to see them too often, so it is always a nice treat! It's funny, as much as I regret that horrible job in Rochester, I met a great person, so it was worth it for that!
I am super excited about an upcoming event. My 10 year college reunion is about 2 months away! Now, the feeling old part I could so do without. But it means seeing my BFF who I don't see nearly enough of. She is looking at flights as I write this and I can't wait! It also means seeing other old friends and visiting the old stomping grounds. Mama Mia's Pizza here I come!

My New Golf Swing
Finally, we had a beautiful sunny day to enjoy. It seems like forever since we have had a day with blue skies and no clouds. I was lucky to be able to spend the day golfing. It's always a successful golf day when I can say I beat my husband. Okay, so I beat him on the back 9 only, and he had a couple of rough holes. But I had some bogeys and even a par. My lessons definitely paid off- I had some really great shots and was far less frustrated than I have been recently. My new swing is starting to feel less new and more natural. It was a good day!
The day started off on a frustrating note. I actually got myself out of bed in time to go to Zumba... and the instructor didn't show up! I ended up doing the bike and then going home to do some Tae Bo. Plus we walked and carried our clubs today, so I did get in my exercise. Tomorrow after a long day of work, it's Cardio Kick!

Zumbalicious
So I did it... and it wasn't so bad actually. Okay, so I thought about leaving after the first five minutes, but I stuck it out. It was actually kind of fun. I realize I looked more like I was having a seizure than dancing, but looking around I realized I wasn't the worst one. It was a good workout and I am definitely going back. I hope that if I keep going, I might actually learn some of the steps.
Today was Cardio Pump- a tough workout, but definitely worth it. Tomorrow is the Cardio Paddle Challenge. Lots of fun- it's neat to actually punch and kick a paddle instead of just pretending.
Not much else to mention today- other than the start of my summer guilty pleasure- Big Brother! Yes, it's a three night per week commitment... but totally worthwhile. Watch it just once and you will be hooked too!

First Blog
I don't really know what I'm going to write about or why... I feel like EVERYONE is blogging but me and maybe I am missing out on the fun. So I will probably write about random things until I figure out what the point of this will be!
Today I head to my first Zumba class at the gym. Now, I don't know anything about it other than it has to do with Latin Dance. Unfortunately I am uncoordinated and have no rhythm, so this should be interesting. I've been putting off the class for weeks now, but I really need to end my recent working out hiatus and I think Zumba is the way to do it!
